Hello, I'm Sue

I am a licensed resident counselor committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for healing and growth. My work focuses on trauma, empowerment, depression, anxiety, and substance use. I approach each client with compassion, curiosity, and respect for their unique experiences.

How can I help?

My therapeutic approach is client-centered and tailored to the individual. I recognize that no two people heal in the same way. I believe clients are the experts of their own lives, and work collaboratively to help them better understand their authentic selves by exploring their values, strengths, and lived experiences. I am especially aware of how trauma can be held in the body, and I support clients in developing awareness of the mind-body connection as part of the healing process. Together, we work to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and foster resilience.

I welcome conversations around complicated or painful faith and spiritual experiences, understanding that these can be both deeply meaningful and deeply wounding. Whether clients are unpacking spiritual trauma, redefining belief systems, or exploring how faith, or the absence of it, fits into their lives, I strive to hold space with openness and respect. Alongside this work, I support clients in developing meaningful connections to themselves and to others by repairing relationships, building new support systems, and identifying communities where they feel seen, valued, and empowered to engage in ways that align with who they truly are. Through this process, my goal is to support lasting change, personal growth, and a deeper sense of belonging.
